If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, you&#8217;ll love these squares. This is another one of my favorite recipes. It&#8217;s quick and easy. It freezes great and people of all ages really enjoy this treat.<!--more--> You can easily cut this recipe in half and make an 8 inch pan if you like. Make sure you watch the video clip demonstration.<\/p>\n<h2>Directions:<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"yield\">Yield: One 9&#8243; x 12&#8243; pan<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt butterscotch chips with peanut butter in a large dutch oven over low heat until smooth, stirring constantly (This mixture scorches easily if left unattended).<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and stir in cereal, mixing by hand until completely coated.<\/li>\n<li>Spread half of this mixture in a 9&#8243; x 12&#8243; pan which has been lined with parchment paper or greased with butter or margarine.<\/li>\n<li>Set remaining mixture a side.<\/li>\n<li>Melt margarine or butter over low heat in large saucepan.<\/li>\n<li>Add water and chocolate chips, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in icing sugar and blend until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and spread this mixture over the cereal mixture in the 9&#8243; x 12&#8243; pan.<\/li>\n<li>Top with remaining cereal mixture. Spread evenly over chocolate. Press down firmly with a spoon and smooth out entire mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Place in refrigerator until firm. Cut into squares and enjoy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Personally I enjoy these squares right out of the freezer. Store them in airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer and snack on them at your leisure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WARNING! These squares are addictive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ingredients\">\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">300 grams of Butterscotch Chips<\/li>\n<li>2 cups of Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 cup of Smooth or Crunchy Peanut Butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of Icing Sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">8 cups of Rice Krispies or Special K Cereal<\/li>\n<li>4 tbsps of Margarine or Butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">3 tbsps of Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"related-video\">\n<div class=\"video\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"video-border\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BCjEbjwJu9M\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Move over Reese&#8217;s!
