They are absolutely divine and very easy to make.<!--more--> As with all homemade breads, they are a bit time consuming but well worth the effort.<\/p>\n<p>To start, use one batch of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookingwithcandra.com\/blog\/2009\/11\/12\/homemade-white-bread\/\" title=\"Homemade White Bread\" target=\"_blank\">homemade white bread dough<\/a>. Follow my recipe and add 2 eggs along with the water during the initial mixing of the dough.<\/p>\n<h2>Directions:<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"yield\">Yield: 2 dozen<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make bread dough following the directions and procedures in my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookingwithcandra.com\/blog\/2009\/11\/12\/homemade-white-bread\/\" title=\"Homemade White Bread\" target=\"_blank\">homemade white bread dough<\/a> video, adding 2 eggs with the water in the beginning.<\/li>\n<li>After the dough has finished its first rising; punch down and divide into two equal portions.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out each portion into a 9\u201d x 12\u201d rectangle. Brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture (You may add nuts or raisins if desired).<\/li>\n<li>Roll up tightly like a jelly roll and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place on parchment lined baking sheets which have been spread with the sticky bun topping.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and let rise until double, approx. 45-60 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Bake in preheated 375&deg;F oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from oven and invert onto cooling racks immediately.<\/li>\n<li>Allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes and then drizzle with icing sugar glaze if desired.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"candra-note\">Candra&#8217;s Notes<\/p>\n<p>You can use half of the dough to make dinner rolls if you like, depending on the number of sticky buns you require. If you choose to do this, <u>make sure you cut your filling, sticky bun topping and glaze amounts in half.<\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ingredients\">\n<h2>Ingredients (Filling):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 cup of Granulated Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsps of Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">Chopped Pecans and or Raisins (Optional)<\/li>\n<li>4 tbsps of Butter or Margarine, melted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ingredients (Sticky Bun Topping):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 cup of Melted Butter or Margarine<\/li>\n<li>2 cups of Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">2 cups of Chopped Pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ingredients (Glaze):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">2 cups of Icing Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 to 3 tbsps of Milk<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1\/2 tsp of Vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"related-video\">\n<div class=\"video\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"video-border\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4Vy3rlwl14k\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now that you\u2019ve mastered the art of making your own bread&#8230; why not give these sticky buns a go?
