I usually only make them on special occasions such as Christmas or Easter.<!--more--> They are quite a rich treat and not something one should eat everyday, not that we wouldn&#8217;t enjoy one of these everyday&#8230; LOL!<\/p>\n<h2>Directions (Bottom Crust):<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"yield\">Yield: One 8&#8243; or 9&#8243; square pan<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large saucepan, combine the following ingredients: 1\/2 Cup of Butter or Margarine, 1 Large Egg, 1\/4 Cup of Sugar, 1 teaspoon of Vanilla and 5 Tablespoons of Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and stir in the following ingredients: 1 and 1\/2 Cups of Graham Wafer Crumbs, 1 Cup of Coconut, 1 Cup of finely Chopped Nuts.<\/li>\n<li>Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of a buttered 8 or 9 inch square pan.<\/li>\n<li>Set pan in the refrigerator until chilled thoroughly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Directions (Middle Layer):<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"yield\">Yield: One 8&#8243; or 9&#8243; square pan<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cream all of the ingredients for the middle layer together until smooth and of relatively stiff<\/li>\n<li>Spread this butter cream mixture evenly over the first layer and refrigerate until chilled thoroughly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Directions (Top Layer):<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"yield\">Yield: One 8&#8243; or 9&#8243; square pan<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips along with 1 tbsp of Butter or Margarine in a small saucepan over very low heat or in the microwave.<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle over middle layer and refrigerate until set.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into squares and enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ingredients\">\n<h2>Ingredients (Bottom Layer):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1\/2 cup of Butter or Margarine<\/li>\n<li>1 large Egg<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1\/4 cup of Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of Vanilla<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">5 tbsps of Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>1 and 1\/2 cups of Graham Wafer Crumbs<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 cup of Coconut<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of Finely Chopped Nuts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ingredients (Middle Layer):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">2 cups of Icing Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup of Butter, softened to room temperature<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 tbsp of Milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp of Vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ingredients (Top Layer):<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list\">\n<li class=\"ingredients-list-alt\">1 cup of Chocolate Chips<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp of Butter or Margarine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"related-video\">\n<div class=\"video\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"video-border\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8thGbDUBlps\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a favorite treat around our house.
