One of the questions I get ask most frequently is “How do you cook rice?” I have decided to post this video and demonstarte the proper way to cook long grain rice, so everyone can be successful with their rice cookery.

Best of Luck 🙂

Directions:

Yield: 6 servings

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a medium saucepan. We are going to use a two to one ratio of liquid to rice. You could use different liquids, like chicken broth or beef broth to give your rice a different taste. Just make sure you use twice as much liquid as rice.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Once the rice reaches a boil, turn the heat down to very low. This is the most common mistake people make when making rice, they boil the rice for too long. Cover the rice and allow it to cook for 15 minutes. Some packages will say 20 minutes and some will say 25 minutes, but that is too long!
  4. After the 15 minutes, remove from the heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes. Do not remove the lid!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Water
  • 1 cup of Basmati Rice
  • A dash of Salt

You are better than sliced bread! I hooked on your vidios. Thank you for the education. Cor bread would be great, and anything that uses as many eggs as possible.
